The two-day workshop brought together 50 male and female coaches from across the country.
The opening ceremony was inaugurated by the President of the Somali Football Federation (SFF), Mr. Ali Abdi Mohamed (Ali Shiine). Also in attendance were the Third Vice President of the Federation, Mr. Yusuf Hussein Mumin, the General Secretary, Dr. Yusuf Mohudin Ahmed, and the Director General of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Mr. Sadaq Ahmed.
The training was conducted by two FIFA experts — Melvin Mendy, FIFA Football Development Officer, and Antonio Buenaño, FIFA Football for Schools Manager.
The main objective of this workshop is to enhance the knowledge and capacity of Somali coaches about the FIFA Football for Schools program, which aims to promote education and sports development among children.
