Somali Football Federation

The president of the Somali Football Federation closed the Somali Futsal Championship.

The president of the Somali Football Federation, Ali Abdi Mohamed, officially closed the futsal tournament that has been taking place in Waaberi district of Mogadishu for the past few days. The tournament, which was one of the games to strengthen the development of youth sports, attracted many fans.

The final match of the tournament saw Al-Zuhri and KPP clubs meet, who presented a very exciting game. At the end of normal time, the two teams drew 1-1, which led to the decision being made on penalties. Al-Zuhri club won the tournament with flying colors after defeating their KPP counterparts on penalties.

Ali Abdi Mohamed, who made a brief speech at the closing ceremony, thanked the Waaber District Administration for their generous participation in the smooth running of this tournament and all the teams that participated in the tournament, praising the way the youth showed high skills, good morale, and constant effort. He also said that the football association is committed to developing sports at all levels, especially futsal, which has become a major attraction for the youth.

Al-Zuhri Club was awarded the tournament trophy, along with prizes and medals. Fans who attended the event expressed their joy, describing the tournament as an encouragement to develop the skills of the youth.

The tournament was described as important and enhanced community relations and the promotion of peace, another success that shows how sports play a role in connecting Somali society.
